The mishap occurred when show hopeful Margaret was competing in the final round of the episode after managing to defeat her fellow contestants.
Stood on the famous stage, she successfully answered a question correctly and was offered more coins to pour into the machine to win more money.
When the 46-year-old host asked Margaret which drop zone she'd like her counter to be put into.
"Drop zone two again please, Bob," she replied to the presenter who has been the face of Tipping Point for almost 10 years.
The dad-of-two was filmed smirking towards the camera and broke a ten second silence after the plucky contestant realised her clanger.
"Who's Bob?" The Good Morning Britain presenter laughed.
Margret revealed that Bob was in fact the name of her partner before cheekily flirting with Ben.
"I'm thinking now I'm going to take you home with me," she told the Tipping Point host.
"Everyone wins all round then, Margaret. Apart from Bob who might be a bit put out," Ben joked back.
"If I don't get the jackpot, you're coming home with me," Margret continued.
Sadly for Margaret, she didn't manage to hit that desired jackpot of ?10,000.
She didn't walk away empty-handed though. She managed to take ?2,850 home with her to Bob and revealed she was planning to use her prize funds for a trip to see the Great Barrier Reef.
Margaret thanked Ben for his help throughout the show, adding: "I am delighted. Absolutely delighted. I’ve had a great day, I really have."
Tipping Point first aired back in July 2012 and sees four contestants answer general knowledge questions to win counters which they use on a large coin pusher arcade-style machine.
One winner has a chance at the end to take home some money with the other three leaving with nothing.
Sharing a short clip of filming, he wrote: "This is episode 101, series 12 of Tipping Point.
"There’s only 74 left, 101 down, 74 left. Is somebody going to get 10 grand for our 101st show? Let’s hope so, what about 20? Let’s make it 20 grand.”
The ITV show has been a hit with viewers over the years and has even seen a spin-off, Tipping Point: Lucky Stars created where celebrity contestants compete to win money for their chosen charity.
The first edition of the star-studded special was shown in 2013 and featured football pundit Chris Kamara, Countdown queen Rachel Riley and Loose Women’s Stacey Solomon.
Since then, there has been over 70 episodes of the popular show starring famous faces with the likes of Denise Van Outen, Lorraine Kelly, Andi Peters and Charlotte Crosby just some of the celebrities competing in the hope of winning ?20,000 for good causes.
